Community Foundations Network
- Community foundations operate in over
25 countries.
- 95% of people in the UK have access to a community foundation.
- Central UK body co-ordinates and shares ideas, liaises with government.
- In 2005/6 community foundations made grants of over £70 million to local causes.
- Over 18,000 community groups received a community foundation grant in this year.
- Community foundations have distributed grants worth over £340 million since 1992.
- In March 2006 endowment/assets held by community foundations over £14 million.
