Grassroots Endowment Challenge

The government’s £50M Grassroots Grants Challenge Fund promotes local giving by encouraging donors to support small community projects. The programme will be used to create a direct cash incentive for individuals and businesses to give money to build endowed funds to provide long term funding for local voluntary groups.

Gloucestershire Community Foundation has set itself the target of increasing the financial resources available through GCF to the voluntary and community sector in the county by at least £1.5 million of endowed funding within
3 years.

If you are a tax paying individual, a donation of £1,000 will be increased to £2560. If you are interested in establishing your own family/business Named Fund a donation of £25,000 could create a fund worth over £50,000.

Donations through a family or other trust will not be eligible for Gift Aid but will still attract a Grassroots match of 100%.
