The purpose of the Foundation is to:

• Establish a permanent capital pool for charitable giving in Gloucestershire.
• Manage charitable funds for Gloucestershire on behalf of individuals, trusts, companies or organisations.
• To make grants to charities and communities, but not to individuals, for charitable purposes. We try to support new and innovative projects.
• To promote charitable activity in Gloucestershire.

How Do We Achieve Our Mission?

• Attract funds from companies and individuals to build our capital pool.
• Manage those funds and other trusts and funds to create income.
• Act as a vehicle through which donors carry out their charitable giving and small local charities and voluntary groups seek funding.
• Attract and assess bids for grants from charities
• Make charitable grants using income from the capital pool and ‘flow through funds'.
