Gloucestershire Freemasons
Gloucestershire Freemasons are pleased to work in partnership with the Gloucestershire Community Foundation to support local charities. By establishing the Gloucestershire Masons (GMCA) Grassroots Endowment Fund in 2009 with the Foundation, their combined efforts will benefit local people and communities in Gloucestershire for many years to come.
From its earliest days, Freemasonry has been concerned with the care and education of children, people who are ill or in distressed circumstances and the care of older people. This work continues today amongst its own members and their dependents. However, more than 50% of the charitable funds raised by Freemasons are given to non-Masonic local and national charities in support of their work in local communities and by responding to disasters in the UK and across the world. Masonic grants include funding a wide range of medical research posts that benefit society as a whole as well as grants to regional and national charities.
