To work with the community supporting local voluntary and community activity through a programme of constructive grant making and capacity building; we are able to award grants to grassroots groups that do not have charitable status, but do make a local impact.
To work with local donors by pooling the donations of philanthropically minded individuals and community-minded companies into an Endowment Fund; providing a permanent and growing fund for activities that strengthen communities today and in perpetuity.
Our role is to develop a permanent source of funding to enable grant giving across Gloucestershire. We work with donors both large and small and help them support a huge variety of projects, whilst building an endowment fund which will be there to fund projects in perpetuity.
Our expertise in grant making and in-depth knowledge of local need means we can target gifts very accurately. We're local experts in connecting those who want to give support, with the community organisations that are most in need; we manage and distribute funds getting money to where it really matters - to voluntary groups on the front-line doing vital and life changing work in our local communities.
At the same time, we provide a cost-effective, personal and flexible way for businesses, individuals, statutory organisations and private trusts to invest in these community groups and make a lasting difference to local issues and causes in our county. We handle all the administration involved in making charitable donations ensuring funds are well managed and donations go to those who need it most.
We understand the needs of local communities and donors and by creating partnerships and involving donors, we can ensure that these needs are met.
On average, we support many hundreds of voluntary and community projects each year, reaching young and old alike; the diversity of those we assist is great and includes community centres, sports clubs, theatre groups, recycling schemes, youth clubs, orchestras, educational projects, exercise classes for the elderly and after school clubs, to name but a few. We're very proud of what is being achieved by the communities we support!
£2,389,820 distributed in grants across Gloucestershire in the past five years.
